[Novalug] Video Compression

I took a 3.5 minute video of my daughter playing the viola. I don't do much 
video so the only device I had available was my Canon Elph.  The sound is 
tinny, but good enough to send to relatives except ......

The compression isn't very compressed. It came out to 406 MB. Is there a Linux 
tool I can use to compress it?
