 	First off, she never said anything would get fried (nor 
did I); only that the new monitors wouldn't work with older PCs. 
And she did mention some sort of card; what I know of electronic 
cards would go in a gnat's eye.

 	All three on my desk were built for me by my electronic 
friend who owns Lserv.com; I've just heard from him, and the 
oldest should be OK with at least a somewhat bigger monitor. It 
seems Staples carries square monitors, and we have one here now; 
I'll go look tomorrow. (I have a bum knee at the moment (old 
athletic injury), which doesn't like clutch pedals; but Jo'll be 
home with her automatic shift, and the Staples is near the store 
that carries heavy-duty knee braces.)

 	I may end up keeping a backup against the next 
catastrophic LCD failure ...
