Okay I have a strange problem,

I create thumbs off of video files based on their file names. I store
those thumbs then in a directory that starts with the first character of
the file.

When the file has chinese or japanese characters in it, I can see the
directories but nothing being put inside ... BUT ... opening the file
through the Qt framework returns the right object. Equally doing a find
in the parent directory come up empty.

Is there a bug in bash regarding international characters ?
