Thoughts about FOSE:

Audience: First, it's "Federal" as in "Federal Office Systems Exposition"
(curiously, the acronym FOSE is not explained - at least not up front - on
FOSE's site).

At the top of their 2008 page, they say, "Technology Solutions for the
Business of Government," claiming to be "the largest government IT
exposition world-wide."

Who did I see there the last three years? Mainly gov employees and other
exhibitors pitching to the gov, including tech schools, book vendors, in
addition to hardware and software vendors. A few were fed gov agencies
pitching their services. Most people I talked to seemed to be end users
interested in Linux and open source solutions like Open Office.
