All,
fyi. Below is an email that pertains to a new project in the maemo
opensource community for the Nokia Internet Tablet product family that
pertains to a Linux driver for IEEE 802.11. Here are the two relevant
url's from that email:
http://stlc45xx.garage.maemo.org/stlc45xx-maemo-summit-2008.pdf
and
http://kvalo.wordpress.com/category/stlc45xx/
The driver referred to above works with the ST Microelectronics
chipsets/radios used in the Nokia N800 and N810 Internet Tablets.
Also, here is the url to a www page for other opensource 802.11
components including
* a Linux driver for Prism2/2.5/3 chipset based IEEE 802.11 radios,
* a user space daemon for access points, including, e.g., IEEE
802.1X/WPA/EAP Authenticator for number of Linux and BSD
drivers, RADIUS client, integrated EAP server, and RADIUS
authentication server
* user space IEEE 802.1X/WPA supplicant (wireless client) for
number of Linux, BSD, and Windows drivers

Luckily my presentation was not recorded :) But I have made the slides
available here:

[1] Yes, I now have a blog even though I'm old school. Just don't tell
my co-workers, otherwise I will be laughed out from the coffee room...
