Sounds like a cron job candidate to me - try reading about cron jobs that
run at start-up for starters. However, there must be something that runs
when the bear comes out at the end of hibernation.
I think Ubuntu 8.04 might be buggy for hibernation: I get error messages
when resuming that I did not see in previous reincarnations of Ubuntu.
Let's hope they work 'em out.
