Sean,
my reason for using Evolution is similar to yours: it came with
Debian. How I knew that 'Evolution is for email' I can't remember,
I suspect this mailing list.
Over the many years I've been using Evolution I've gotten
accustomed to it. It works, I can attach all kinds of files
(unlike 'mail', which lets you attach ASCII files but not .pdfs
or jpgs (or, maybe, I don't know how to do that)). My original post
mentioned its spell checking of emails, which I have found to
be handy since it's easy to mistype things. Of course the spell
check can't flag things like it's versus its, or principle versus
principal or vile versus vial or vice versus vice, so you can
still see how well someone spells. But, it's still handy.
That's my reason. What's yours?
