[Novalug] Transparent Encrypted Folder

I'm reviewing my data-at-rest strategy and realizing it could probably be
tweaked a bit. I'm currently using LVM to encrypt both my laptop hd and an
external SATA bay drive (containing a bunch of VM's). Since the bay drive is
all I care about securing at the moment & would like to leave it in the
office more often I was wondering what good options I had ... I'm running
Ubuntu 9.04.

I guess a question would be, can encryptfs work like TrueCrypt allowing me
to encrypt the whole SATA drive and mount it easily (looking at an Ubuntu
Pocket Ref. it seems like the encryptfs tool would work, but it's storing
the file on the laptop HD, didn't see options for moving it to the bay
drive)
