[Novalug] File system question

The notion that SSDs are too fragile for journaled filesystems is bunk, in
my opinion. A lot of people have the idea in their head that the
write-cycle of SSDs is so small that using it with a journal will lead to an
unusable disk in a short amount of time. While there is a finite number of
writes per block with SSDs, wear leveling techniques and the robustness of
the technology has advanced considerably. The reality is that you'd have to
be doing an intense number of write operations for it to fail within any
kind of relevant meat-space timeframe.
