What is the size of your /var (or / if not separate)?  Amount free?

It is not unrealistic to require 2GiB+ for any Fedora upgrade these days.
I've also see the same of Debian and Ubuntu, which also require space
under /var.

Can you at least confirm that is not the issue?  For others?

    This "no space" problem is one that's been hitting a lot 
of people on the Fedora list, and seems not to have been resolved 
yet; it certainly hits me over and over on upgrade attempts 
(although two fresh installs have succeeded).
