[Novalug] fun with xrandr

[Maxwell Spangler]

Was working with xrandr the other day on my HP laptop trying to get
S-Video out and I thought, maybe we'll change the resolution on my
laptop's LCD screen to 800x600 and then clone it on the TV?

Here's a video showing what happens.  I panic every time I do this (done
it many times and it still lives.)

1. working 1680x1050 display
2. randr resize to 800x500
3. quickly, in a panic, move to virtual console #2.. 

i thought I blew the CCFL backlight or something or Mr. Smith from the
Matrix was about to bust through the door.
