[Novalug] webcam drivers in Linux mint 7

I haveinstalled linux mint 7 and have two old webcams, a Creative Gamestar
and an old intel cs330.  I installed skype through mintinstall, and it sees
creative webcam, but the piture is all fuzz.  Any advice here?  Thanks.  Oh
I downloaded the SCPA  generic driver, and have the tar.gz file, but am not
quite sure what to do with it.
