Bonnie,
Yes, I am. I bought a pair of Netgear devices, one for a jack that comes
in directly from the NID on the exterior house wall. No other jack in
the house, and there were plenty of them, was clean enough to support
DSL I used the other on the power strip (I know; I ought to get a UPS,
but I've never lost anything in the two plus years that I have relied on
that arrangement) that my Shuttle, etc, is plugged into. So I bought
another to use for the other computer I have acquired recently, the one
that I can't persuade to either get on line or allow me to install
Karmic. I seriously doubt that the Netgear signal-over-powerline device
is the problem.
