To me it usually means they 1) either don't know what they did or 2)
don't want to reveal what they did. For instance, it's common "geek
talk" to the common non-it person. It simply means something has been
changed. It doesn't have to be a lot, but it can be more than one thing.
It doesn't have to be a 'configuration file' either. It's a very broad
definition.

Sorta like the southern "fixing" ... I'll be fixing to go now ... :)
