So, it really comes down to this, what to do with all the old tapes being
digitized.

Issue: How do we contact ALL the past people that have attended one or more
meetings (guest speakers, adults, kids, etc) and ask them for permission to
post videos online as-is. I mean, really, this is what the core problem is.

So, we have two options:

1. Assume no issues and convert and post all videos.

2. Post none.

Why none? If you can't identify everyone in the video, and get permission
from all of them, then either you have to edit video or not post.

So assume 15 people shown in each video, 11 videos per year, 7 years of videos.
(Have no idea if number right, pulled them out of my butt)

Thats 15*7*11 = 1155 instances where we have to get permission or identity
people from our videos, keep track of these, get permission, or edit video.
Blanket permission doesn't really help since we have to watch each video and
track any face that shows up. So maybe 3 hours per video to capture this info,
thats another 11*3*7 = 231 hours just to capture this info.

Ohm and I forgot about the time if takes to help identify people from video,
so how do we capture this time?? Well, at a minimum I'd say the only way we
could do this is at a NOVALUG meeting where pictures of faces are shown to
attendees to help identify people. We certainly can't post this on a site.
All photos would need to be tracked and destroyed upon identification. What
is the time period for non-identification destruction?? How much time here,
20 minutes a meeting, give or take.

I got better things to do with my time, how about you???
