I'm not sure I have a correct understanding of the technology, but
assuming I do:

The City of Alexandria promised to set up two huge flat screen displays,
one at Market Square, the other somewhere in the West End (in Landmark
Mall or Bem Brenman Park, presumably). Now, however, Mayor Bill tells me
it costs WAY too much, $20 K for one, so the other is canceled.

Hunh?! I thought you could get one of these projectors (DLP, I think
they are called, and I saw huge wireless speakers at Lord & Taylor
(apparently going out of business), now gone, for about $110 each.

A,m I wrong? Or is he (and every else on the City Council) wrong?
