 	Fwiw, I find synaptic more user-friendly than PackageKit, 
especially for tweaking cruft -- cruft to me, I mean -- out of, 
and preferred apps into, a particular install (especially on the 
EeePC!); and I do use it, for instance if I want Konqueror a/o 
K3B with as little other KDE as possible.

 	Nevertheless for the most part I stick to PackageKit and 
its updater for routine, and yum for single apps, just because 
Fedora seems to me to fit them better.


 	But I still read posts from yourself, Mackenzie, and 
strong advocates of other distros that I prefer against or 
haven't tried, very carefully. I glean a lot from from them, and 
I thank you all.
