[Novalug] IT Semantics (was Re: Volunteers wanted 4 website - Two additional points)

I was wondering that myself. There may be a disconnect on what counts
as IT and not IT. I consider IT to be pretty broad, ranging from chip
and hardware design to software development to system and network
administration. I find there is a lot of opportunity in the IT field
(my definition), both for established companies and for companies not
yet born, clearance or no.

I also find there are a lot of basic, technical jobs provisioning new
users, upgrading systems, and monitoring or managing systems and
switches. I know a lot of people who are good at that, and love it,
but such rote, repetitive operations would bore me to tears. I wonder
if that is what most people consider IT.
