What camera? What distro? FWIW, Fedora did better w/ the camera I got
then Ubuntu (Clique HUE)-- locked ubuntu tight and fedora sorta worked.
cat /dev/video0 > /tmp/file.mp4
<Ctrl>C after 30 seconds
vlc and open file /tmp/file.mp4
