 	My deck has a little gadget that won't let the reels turn 
(at least, not under power) unless the tape is threaded past the 
heads. And fast forward just makes it worse. What I have to do is 
set it to 1 7/8 and run each tape clear through, *twice*, 
stopping it every time it accelerates. PITA.
