Doesn't KDE offer KDE 3.x as an option as well?

OpenSUSE 11.1
KDE 4.1

I'm having a problem with the system tray. With some programs it works fine. 
With others, when I minimize the window, no icon shows up in the system tray 
and I can't find any way to get the window back.

Anybody know what I can do?
