I've only used Hauppauge http://www.hauppauge.com/ and pcHDTV 
http://www.pchdtv.com/.  The pcHDTV was actually made with Linux
in mind. However I do not think they've released a new card in
a while.  The Hauppauge I've used was previous to HD and I
feel my information on them is probably out of date.  In many
ways I feel I'm not that helpful because I found something easy
that worked and stuck with it, so I can't really speak to
everything else that's out there. In the past I've found the
Mythtv wiki helpful for looking up hardware.
