Yes, Rich.

I did an upgrade (from the "Remix" for net books) to 9.10 using the 
built-in installer / upgrader on an EEE PC Netbook. Sorry I didn't wait: 
there were numerous errors during the install / setup and it crashed. 
Even with the installer its self and setting up Gnome.

I tried upgrading after the degrading experience of upgrading to 9.10 
and there was an upgrade to dkpg ('er what ever it is)!

Strangely, everything I've tried so far works (FireFox, Open Office) but 
I've not tried everything and I'm crossing my fingers, hoping I don't 
have to do a clean install. I shoulda learned - as one fellow said in 
the Register article, wait for others to work out the bugs. (Like, wait 
at least for Service Pack 1 before upgrading M$ Winders.)

The original Remix install went without a hitch, installing using / 
booting (UNetbootin) from a thumb drive on a machine which has no CD/DVD 
drive and no external drive.
