Fantastic! I like a man who is sure of himself. I propose a wager.
We'll find some third-party who maintains something like an escrow account.
I say escrow only to illustrate the idea, because I'm not entirely certain
how this would actually be configured. You and I will place equal sums of
money in this account. You'll take a position which reflects your dollar
pessimism as stated above. I'll take a more optimistic outlook. We'll set
this up so that the winner is determined on the outcome of certain day or
range of days of a function of the CPI, TWEXB, a composite of the
aforementioned, or something similar. You get the idea. I'm also willing
to make similarly contrarian wagers, or additional wagers, on spot metal
prices and metal futures. There are certainly other provisions that would
have to be made, which we can discuss further off-list should you be
interested.
