[Novalug] Sad Day-- where did the Linux go?

I was pinged quite a few times over the last few weeks and too many 
times over the weekend to count.

This list had degenerated to a high noise to low signal in the past 
weeks/month(s).

I am asking as the moderator to consider what you send to the list.

1) Is this about Linux? If not, think about sending to the poster and 
not the list

2) Am I trolling? If so, don't send to the list

3) Would a reasonable person see any Linux value in this post? If not, 
don't send it.

4) Am I attacking the person or their statement? If you are not sure or 
you are having an issue separating the comments vs person, save your 
response and read it tomorrow before posting.

Please take a few minutes and think before posting. I would like the 
list to be a place where people come for help and to learn and share-- 
around Linux specifically although other technology is certainly welcomed.

I would like to see at the very least a tolerant list. I strive for a 
friendly and welcoming list.

I am bummed that I had to write this and send it. I usually let the 
topics dissipate, but the topics are proliferating instead.
