I realize that this followup is *months* after the main articles, but I
was unable to directly reply to the question of Common Criteria
Certification at the time.  I can now say that the product I discussed, a
commercial Linux OS Lock-down tool called Security Blanket, is now in
evaluation by NIAP.  Here is a link to their 'products in evaluation'

Regarding FOCI, Trusted Computer Solutions is an privately held, American
