  Thanks for the pointer on lspci.  At least I know what's on the
board now.

What I'd really like to fix is the display adapter and the battery message:

apt/term.log.6.gz:FATAL: Error inserting battery
(/lib/modules/2.6.24-23-generic/kernel/drivers/acpi/battery.ko): No
such device

If worst comes to worst, I can edit xorg.conf by hand, but it seems
that there must be a simpler way.
