Yep,
I am still reading most of the lists mails :)
So of course I can only recommend using QDVDAuthor. It does transcode
the input through either MEncode, ffmpeg, VideoTrans, or Transcode,
depending on what you have installed. The choice is yours.
QDVDAuthor tries to be smart about detecting input video but it can only
be as good as the backend used, which is currently either MPlayer or Xine.
I designed it to be easy and usable with the main target being people
taking vacation videos, images, and short vids. For that the Slideshow
generation supports adding images and vids into one slideshow. Creating
slideshows from hundreds of images should not take longer than a few
minutes ( without rendering ).
As for the menu generation, the FewClickWizard will guide you through
creating a simple DVD with multiple menus. Or you can choose between
some 30 templates or create a menu from scratch.
I could go on here but I would recommend checking out the videos on
Youtube to give you an idea. New and cool are the transition effects,
that is if you click a button the menu will fade over to the video ( or
other menu ).
Anyhow, I am still actively developing this app and am about to release
version 2.0. If I am not too busy I'll help when needed and am always
open for feedback.
Varol :)
