[Novalug] Getting Fedora 11 to work

List,

Thos is a new thread. I wrote one message and got a few replies, but I
didn't reply to any of them.

I think I know what is wrong but I don't know how to fix the problem,
which I hate to do because it means losing several things that Greg did
for me at the installfest on 10/10/2009. But if I must ...

I need to do a considerable amount of administration to get what I want.
When I am tweaking I will sign on as root. Then, when things are close
to what I want, su and sudo. ... oK so far?

Huge embarrassment. While I have no recollection of choosing one on Oct
10, I must have. If anybody has a suggestion, please say. But I expect
to have to reinstall.

Trying to do so leads to the next problem: When I put in an install DVD
it doesn't recognize it. I dredge up from memory that I have to
interrupt the bootup sequence so as to edit the BIOS. I am able to halt
bootup and get a different screen and to bring up a couple of other
screens, but if any of them lead to editing the BIOS I don't see it.

So that is the second problem. Can anyone help me?

I intend to install Karmic, i.e., be able to select which OS I boot
into. Later.

Charlie
