[Novalug] vi/Ubuntu question

System  >Administration > Synaptic Package Manager

enter your password when requested.

in the quick search window enter vi

choose "vim" from the list of things that appear - use your mouse to "mark 
for installation" then click the apply button at the top.

you can then launch it from a terminal by typing vim


alternatively from a terminal

sudo apt-get install vim

enter your user pass word when requested.

answer y to any questions it may as.
