[Novalug] Favorite Netbook OS?

I have a 4GB Surf ASUS eeePC and am considering updating the OS from the
native Xandros.  One thought is to build a 8GB USB stick with 4GB for OS
and a 3+GB encrypted partition (using Truecrypt) and boot from that
(although updating the eeePC may be a smart thing to do as well).


I saw KDE Ubuntu Remix lised on their website and am thinking about that
but wondered what versions folks are using on a Netbook these days ...
and why.
