This is not true:

$ sudo lvs -v vg_test
    Using logical volume(s) on command line
  LV VG #Seg Attr LSize Maj Min KMaj KMin Origin Snap%
Move Copy% Log Convert LV UUID
  lv_test     vg_test    1 owi-a- 12.00m  -1  -1 253  5

  lv_testsnap vg_test    1 swi-a-  8.00m  -1  -1 253  6    lv_test
0.10                         p54Tfl-Lmku-qQqc-8q5U-fMgo-BP3B-mFpvUd
