As I haven't had time to read my home e-mail lately, I've
only just read this thread about SSD install problems.
The odd thing is, it's awfully similar to the problems
I was having trying to install Fedora 13 on an OCZ
during the summer.
I was trying to use the OCZ in a self-built Core 2 Quad
system with an EVGA motherboard. Didn't matter which
distribution I used, I couldn't get a successful install.
The end result was that I was able to install Ubuntu 10.04
on the OCZ SSD when I plugged it into an external USB dock
and plugged the dock into my Toshiba laptop.
I then got a Kingston SSD and put that into the self-built
desktop and was able to successfully install Fedora 13
on that. Not sure why the Kingston SSD worked but the OCZ
SSD didn't.
In any case, here's links to my threads in the NOVALUG
