I haven't seen any replies to this. I can certainly speak to workstation
security setup etc. 

To begin with, tripwire etc. is overkill for workstations. Of course if
you're setting up a server or something that rarely changes, tripwire
and it's more modern upgrades plays an important key in diagnosing
break-ins. But it doesn't prevent the breakin. And that should be the
initial focus.

I don't think security concerns is really that different between the
distros. Not even the abilities to secure is that much different. If I
may suggest having one or more talks about people's ideas on the
different security systems on Linux - from filesystems, to
authentication/authorization, and some of the features in between.

As for SELinux - that subject could be a topic for a entire
meeting ... ?
