[Novalug] Nvidia shutoff

Having a strange problem with a new (used) laptop dell d830. Put fedora on
it. If I put the nvidia driver for the wobbly windows etc, AND run on
battery,it shuts off  hard in 2 minutes. Nouveau driver,no ptoblem. Ac
power,no problem.  Any ideas ???
