It is my understanding that, basically a diesel car can also run on veggie
oil. However when it is cold the veggie oil is too thick which is why
people make biodiesel out of veggie oil in colder climates. People who use
unconverted veggie oil set their diesel cars/trucks up with two fuel tanks
and start them up with the diesel, then add the veggie oil to the mixture
once the car is running. Since fuel oil and diesel are very close I wonder
if an oil burning furnace could also run on veggie oil.
