Your best bet is to upgrade the firmware with dd-wrt
(http://dd-wrt.com/site/index) or tomato (http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato).
Most wrt54g's are supported, they have different storage sizes so their
are different packages available depending on your version... but it's
usually a safe upgrade nad provides a lot of extended functionality not
included in the original firmware.
