The easiest way to rant then go back on topic is to lose an argument.
Usually someone will make a qualitative argument or use a fallacy of
appeal to authority, and buckle under quantitative feedback.
I've been using this stuff for x years, and I've never seen this work.
"This option is documented in the man page, have you tried that?"
I shouldn't have to do that, it doesn't make sense. Now, back on topic
