At a contract of mine we are using DD-WRT on a Linksys WRT54g wireless AP.
We are able to run some scaled down captive portal applications on the
Linksys. It keeps us from having to design our own hardware, and lets us
take advantage of open source to provide low cost solutions to help our
clients grow! I think thats the marketing term we use. It is nice though.
