[Novalug] system no longer boots

Hi All,

yesterday my Ubuntu system, regularly and faithfully updated,
didn't want to boot in the normal mode. I tried recovery mode.
This gave me the option 'continue normal boot', and this worked.

Now, the recovery mode doesn't work any more. It stops, with an
oft-repeated message that starts with

fsch from util-linux-ng 2.17.2
/dev/sda6 has been mounted 30 times without being checked, check forced,
and then an oft-repeated error message:

udved[283]: SYSFS{}= will be removed ....etc.

I tried googling for this message, but I didn't get anything that
seemed to make sense to me.

Any insight? Might someone be willing to look at this tomorrow
after the meeting?

Thank you,

Nino
