[Novalug] Fedora 13 Security-Spin with KDE4 won't turn off Monitor on Idle-time

  Greetings all.

I am enjoying my new Fedora 13 install of the security spin, however, my
addiction to KDE4 won't allow me to leave the basic environment alone.

I installed the KDE environment, and am using it as a default.

However, when I allow the desktop to become idle, and have the monitor
power options set to go to sleep when idle, the screen saver
functionality is the only thing that works. The monitor never goes to
sleep, i.e. never turns off.

I get the screen saver functionality options from within the "Settings"
menu under the primary application menu, however, the original KDE
"Power Options" dialog does not exist within this implementation of
KDE. So when I go to 'Settings > System Settings" and choose Display,
there is no option for "Power Management" and hence, I am unable to
adjust the behaviour of the Monitor.

These options do not seem to work so I would like to know how I should
investigate getting the usual KDE power options onto this system.

I hope this inquiry is coherent, because it has been a long week.
