[Novalug] linux mail lists

I'm on several different linux lists.
The volume, and technical quality/quantity of questions seem
to be dropping like an avalanche on all of them.

This almost sounds like a "slashdot" post observation.

Did everyone go to blogs or wikis?
What is the future of linux maillists ?

qualification:
I know the Q is rather open ended, and could generate none, 
or some, controversial answers. It's not intended to be flame bait.
