Well I already have successfully installed Linux Mint along side
Ubuntu-supposedly-Xubuntu so I do not think that will be a problem. Linux
Mint found X-Ubuntu when I installed it. However it missed my freedos
partition and my amiga-socket (Amithlon) installation. Now boot does not
seem to be using menu.lst I am going to try and figure out why. I was
pretty good at hand editing menu.lst when the installation was using grub.

The sugestion of having the large mass of data in a partition that is
mounted on a smaller /home directory - with a different /home for each
Linux may be the simplest way to go. Then the files associated with
config for each flavor of linux will be in their own partition.
