I don't have a picture in my head of what the connectors look like,
but if they are screw-types, but the holes are too large/worn, I'd
slip pieces of wooden toothpicks into the holes and see if the
screws will then make solid connections.  If they are metal
strips on each side that clip on, perhaps a length of wire wound
around outside of them would hold them on?  Twist the ends
of the wire together and tighten the twist with pliers.

I mess with old stuff a lot, and use an external drive case (USB
connector) to pull stuff off drives that no longer have their own
"support system".
