I love Arch for a daily workstation. Easy to keep up to date and never have to 'upgrade.'
The configuration is manual, but that's what the wiki is for. It's a lot of fun, but one can also be highly productive with it. It's the best of a lot of worlds.
I wouldn't run it as a server unless I had a specific use case.

Subject: [Novalug] Arch linux impressions?
Looking at distros for my new home workstation. nothing fancy but new to
me anyway. been a happy fedora guy for years and other stuff thrown
in/out during those years. Havent tried Arch yet but reading good things.
Anyone running it/run it for some time that have comments? I am
interested in comments about how well it worked for you as a
workstation, packages available for it (I like to avoid messing with the
native package scheme as much as possible), keeping up to date, patches
over time etc.
Nick
