[Novalug] coding for testing

Hi,
I worked on dev and testing.  Great arguments on both sides. However, todays compilers allow macros to switch  test code on and off. 

Introduction of rest code may lead to additional work, and errors. However, not catching defects during testing, IMHO, is thee most expensive.

Its all about the customer, what do they expect and tolerate.
