At the last meeting, Matt described a way of using Amazon Web Services
as a relay to give two computers with dynamically-assigned addresses a
consistent 'meeting place'.

What was the name of the exact service again?  There is a smorgasbord:

The ideal would be a Linux VM that gives its owner a bash shell with
full admin power.  For free.  With a chocolate cake.
