Anybody in the lug proficent with PC hardware? Apparently I've lost my
touch.
I am at my wits end trying to get a system up and running. I've swapped
components and still can't get a boot.
Abit NF7 socket A motherboard
AMD Athlon 2500 processor (also have 2100 processor, state unknown)
E-Geforce 6200 256MB video card (also have Jaton 3DForceMX440-8X 64MB)
1GB DDR333 memory (2 x 512) (also have 512MB of DDR266, 2x 256)
Brand new Jpac 500W ATX power supply
Bought the motherboard off Ebay, RMAd the motherboard back to Abit when I
couldn't get my components to boot with it. This is the 2nd Abit MB I am
on.
I need someone who can test each component for me individually or tell me
what the heck is going on. For what I've spent in time and money I could
have had a Dell shipped to my door I guess.
I don't have the cash to take it to a shop but I can buy dinner for those
who would be willing to test my components in a working system so that I
can rule out what it could be.
Any takers??
