I now have Japanese output, and some idea of how to integrate this
stuff into Mule.  You guys are about 1/3 of the way there.  ;-)  I'll
post something as soon as I have a little more to say (I don't have
face support yet, so for non-ASCII character sets, you get whatever
fontconfig thinks might be amusing, which is often not funny at all
:-P).
