How to get rid of text attributes?

is pasted into some other buffer where the emphasis should be
something completely different if any?

I think that this problem is similar to when you copy from a
word processor or spreadsheet and when you paste it into some other
tool you only want to get the text and nothing else. In some tools you
can control that. Example: In open office you can either paste or
"paste special". In the later case you have more control of what part
of the info that you paste.

If the good thing is to paste in the emphasis wouldn't it be
convenient also to have "paste special" or "paste text" to handle the
case where the extent gets in your way?
